It is scary to see that the majority of their weapons come from America. Just think of the weapons available to the gangs here.

First its assault weapons, but it probably won't stop there. The bans will increase until owning a gun is nearly impossible. Until the paperwork could suffocate a person.

I think they need to make owning a gun almost impossible because once people get their hands on them they take them to Mexico or use them in some sort of gang related activity. This is just putting people in Mexico and the U.S. in danger from guns that are easy to gain access to.

They talked about this at the beginning of the video: tightening the gun laws in the U.S. The problem is that those that will follow the laws would be the lawabiding citizens, while those who could care less about the law will continue to sell weapons.

We shouldn't be fighting criminal activity by removing our civil rights. We could theoretically prevent all crime with enough monitoring services and police forces, but I would rather live in a place where I fear criminals then a place where I fear my government.

What?! If you make it impossible to own a gun then what does that do to the honest hunters and sportsmen all across the country? It destroys trap shooting, wild life preservation, and a billion dollar industry in the United States. They don't need to make owning a gun impossible. Tt's also been proven that in most coutnries that had a massive crack down on gun control, a genocide shortly ensued afterwards because the people couldn't rise up and defend themselves. We don't need to take away from our people, we need to make the gun manufacturers more responsible and crack down on the smugglers.

You can't just take away their guns... there just has to be more monitoring and background checks. Its scary though to see the amount of guns that are smuggled into Mexico. We don't need to ban guns or make them impossible to get, we just need to step up the monitoring, make more background checks, and step up police numbers.

I think they're on the right track that drastically altering our gun laws isn't going to fix the problem. We have to go to the source--the drugs and the cartels-- if we want to solve the issue. However, legalizing drugs is not the answer! We need to crack down on our drug laws and get more funding to the task forces in charge of the drugs.

Ok, first of all, you cant just go out and make it impossible to own a gun, because, like bulbasaur said, people would be angry, and isn't America about freedom. I think that the border check stations should be checking for weapons coming out of the US, instead of just looking for people coming into the US. How else do the guns get there? If we controlled our borders better, less guns would et through, and less drugs would get through to be sold in America

When i look at this issue my first reaction is stop the guns. Then i think about how if i were there, i might want to be carrying a gun for my own protection. The thing is that there is no need for an ak-47 for fun or protection. thats a gun made for attack and murder. Its the same as restricting pitt bulls, if they are the main source of the problem then they need to be watched. There is also a big difference between a hunting rifle and a m-16.
