I don't understand why we care so much about what the world thinks of us. So what the world doesn't like us! Since when has the right decision always been the most popular. Aren't we supposed to learn that in school. And I hope people vote for Obama because thier favorite movie star likes him. So what if Jessica Alba doesn't have any political education, I just loved fantastic four! These people don't relize that extremeist Islamists aren't going to disarm and surrender just because Obama is a good speaker. Why don't we put in a guy who actually knows how the real world functions.
Actually, foreign relations is very important. Foreign relations are what determine our allies, enemy's, trading partners, etc. So there is just a chance, if ever so slight, that it is just a tad bit important.
And also, Obama isn't just a good speaker. He is very educated in politics and I think most people realize that too. Having movie stars on this is effective, it's part of politics, using propaganda. Hillary did the same exact thing in her commercial. I for one wouldn't vote for Obama, but he obviously does know about real world functions.
Obama is probably the least versed of all the possible candidates in foreign affairs, one of the biggest issues facing our country. If people are so concerned about our foreign relations, the best choice would be McMain with his vast experience. While it is popular to use well-known people, I feel that they did not add much to this "commercial". It more like like a chant with barely anything explaining what Obama will actually do.
I think Obama is a great emotional speaker. He sounds just like Martin Luther King Jr. I want Obama to become president because it is great in politics and he is very smart. Yeah he doesn't have experience like Hillary or hasn't been in a war like McCain, But I believe he can become a great president.
About foreign relations, we are allies with the ones we trade with. We are not allies with the ones that hate us. And since when has Obama been a foreign relattions expert. Again good soundbytes don't mean good policy.
These people think of Obama as if he's some sort of god. I agree that he is good at connecting with the people, but I'm not convinced that these people are all very well-informed about the issues and what he stands for. I'm going to laugh when the people who voted for Obama are the same people who are criticizing him for not fulfilling his promises while he's in office. I may be wrong, but right now I just don't think that Obama has all the answers.
Sure Obama may not have all the answers, he's human! But one thing you all know is that he is a great speaker. We need a president, a good one at that. It isn't only important for a president to know how to wage war. It's important that a president know how to make peace. We should care what people think about us. It doesn't necessarily mean we should change our ways, but heck, it's important to keep an open mind rather than we just do what we want. Being a good speaker means you know what to say. And keep in mind, knowing just what to say can be just the thing you need.
For some reason watching this clip made me feel sick. I know politics is about being vague and getting things done in a slow manner, but some of these people seem blind and only like Obama for "CHANGE". There's more to it than just "ending the war" and "living in a world without fear". I want that, of course, but it is hard for me to believe that one man can get it done in at most 8 years. That's reality, but it's still just my opinion.
I actually thought the video was powerful. I am not even a Obama supporter and towards the end I was chanting along "Obama Obama Obama...." with out realizing it. The music and beat really had me going. lol
obama... obama... praise the lord... praise the lord. (interesting commercial) ya. and lets vote for president because jessica alba is hot and likes obama more than hilary. YEAH RIGHT! sure he might sound like a good speaker. but thats not what makes a president. george bush had the power to go to war without talking to the senate. but he did talk to the senate. these kinds of things do affect our foreigh realtions wether you beleive it or not. and no hes obvioulsy not a good speaker, but he does make good choices and bad ones like every president will.
it doesnt exactly grab my vote, but it sure does grab my attention. i really like this commercial probably just because of the catchiness of the tune,but it makes me look at obama differently i guess
