Wow. And we thought gang violence was horrible here. It just doesn't compare to what's happening with these drug cartels. It's a full-out insurgency.

This is absolutely horrible, and to think it is happening so close to our borders is scary. Drug cartels need to stop.

I really hope this problem doesn't escalate into a full out war in Mexico. The Mexican government needs to pull together and stop this.

The number of police recruits has probably greatly decreased. Also, who knows how much if the current police force is corrupted.

That was a very difficult video to watch. The fact that this is an everyday occurance is just wrectched. :(

They definately need to do something about the corruption laden police force that isn't really doing anything to help the fight against drug cartels. Nothing will ever get done if the police (who are supposed to try and stop the cartels) are just helping them with their business.

Did he say the cartel might plan an attack in El Paso? Would that force the US to intervene in the drug war?

It makes me sick to think that this is happening so close to America's borders. The question is, how long until it does come into our borders?

It is really hard to watch this. It is hard to imagine what these people must live through. Were not use to violence where we live, but they face it everyday.

Everyone keeps saying "They" need to do something "Their Government" should do something. How can they do anything? Their ability to rule and control in their borders has been challenged and they lost. Police Chiefs are even being forced to resign. We need to do something to help. Why not offer to help with the problem?

Think of living in these areas. How could you raise a family or do anything for that matter. They should just have all innocent civilians leave and then take out the cartel left behind....just kidding, but really.

Bulbasaur75 I agree with what you are saying I think that we need to help the police force that can not control it constituents because eventually these could become our problem if it is not already.
