We do not need to shut down the border between Mexico and the U.S. There is no need to overreact about the swine flu. Right now, it is not a life threatening virus, if you get medical treatment. The normal flu virus is transferred like this every winter, and no one freaks out this much.
Closing the borders to Mexico will do nothing the swine flu has spread throughout the world now. By the way it is no longer to be referred to as the swine flu the proper name is H1N1 flu because some countries, like Egypt, have gone and killed all their pigs so they do not get contaminated.
If we would have closed the borders at the immediate onset of the outbreak in Mexico it would have maybe done the U.S. some good. Since the outbreak has already gotten into the U.S., shutting the borders now would do us no good at all. The virus is already here, what good is shutting the borders going to do? It's too late now, so the government might as well just leave them open just like it was any other ordinary day.
Shutting down the borders will do absolutely no good for the U.S. H1N1 is already here, and there is nothing we can do about it. All we can do is hope that some Americans finally figured out how to wash their hands and cover their mouths when they are sick. and if they don't then they deserve to have H1N1.

Even though I think we should close the borders... It would be pointless because we don't have any control over who come out of mexico anyways.
