It's either we get yelled at for sticking our noses into other people's business or we get blamed for not stopping a nuclear war.....hmmmm, is it really a hard decision?
Obviously the United States involvement with Iran has not ended well for anyone. We can't just go in and take away their weapons. Who is going to stop Iran from gaining nuclear capabilities? No country should, who gets to decide which countries can have these weapons and which ones can't?
I honestly believe we shouldn't interfere with their atomic efforts. I mean, we have to accept the fact that the US and our allies alone are allowed to have nuclear technologies. All we can do is help defend our allies against an attack. If Iran were to strike, then we should invade, or do something to rid of their weapons.
The reason we need to stop them is because once they have a nuclear arsenal we lose any chance of stopping them. It only takes one radical to push a button. Besides we should be moving away from nuclear armament not towards. Another nuclear power in the world is like throwing a loaded gun to a monkey with the safety off.
I would just like to say how surprised I am that the polls were even this close. The gap widened as the day wore on, but I still thought hardly anyone would vote yes.
Letting countries have nukes without trestrictions is like giving a child a lighter and leaving him unsupervised with it. They need to be regulated to prevent any damage from occurring.
I love these poll that we have been having they really liven up the beginning of class and as for Iran I think we should let them have nukes, but use ours on them if they use theirs because what is the harm in having them if they are just going to use them to equalize the power gap between itself and other countries. Really is that not the purpose our nukes serve right now a bargaining/blackmail device?

I do not believe we can keep Iran from developing nuclear weapons but we can monitor them closely on their development like we do with North Korea.

Monitering won't do anything, we can monitor all we want but that won't stop a nuclear attack.

I think we really need to build the relationship with iran. If we push our influence even more then the resentment will only increase.
