Its too bad there are no presidential candidates that speak the way this man did. They would be elected in a landslide.

Wow! That speech just blows my mind. He really made it a point to include everyone and make it personal to everyone and he really did just that. So many people say the right things but then don't act on their beliefs. What makes a speech so powerful is when you can see their words lived out within their very lives. That is why Martin Luther King was so successful not only through his speeches but threw his character. He did not just say stuff in his speech to say it but he lived it out. You might say he's black and he is fighting for his own rights but he could have easily shown the same prejudice towards the people showing him the prejudice.

I agree with what if?. If a presidential candidate spoke like The Martin Luther King Jr., they would be definitely be elected. But to just throw it out there, they would have to be able to move the crowds like King, not speak of the same subject as King. I don't think our country is quite ready for that big of a change again, although it was for the better.

This is unarguably one of the most, if not the best speech ever given, and it will probably always remain like this. Martin Luther King Jr.'s, efforts made an enormous impact in our nation's society. It's too bad to see that even today we still have racism and prejudice, which he addressed so strongly in his amazing speech.

I'd have to agree that Martin Luther King Jr. was one of the most inspirational speakers in history. He even speaks from his heart, as he doesn't look down at his notes. I think it was his passion that really helped him project his views. I think it's the passion in what you do that really sets you apart and being an inspirational speaker just comes with that.

I have to say that Martin Luther King Jr. is THE MAN. I get chills listening to his speech...it's that good. He is, in my eye, by far one of the most important people in the advancement of the human race...like ever. This man's ability to get people to stand up for justice and what they believe in is phenomenal. Never have i ever heard or read about anyone who even comes close to comparing to King.

Hmm, i'm not much of a fan of the speech, or any speeches for that matter, but more so of how he actually kept his word. I think his actions are a far better judge of his character and leadership abilities than his pretty words.
