This year I am thankful for Obama to be the president-elect! :)

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! :D I just thought it was neat how he compared Abe Lincoln's speech during the civil war to the present, because the country is, in a way, divided in beliefs. Great Speech Obama.

i'm a die hard republican who hasn't quite accepted Obama yet..but i'm trying.

hes a good speaker and says what the American people want to hear.

He makes a lot of promises that i HOPE he can keep.

That was a great speech. I think he may have been reading from a teleprompter maybe, but still a great speech. I'm interested in seeing how his "honey moom" period in office goes and if he can carry out all his promises. It would be splendid if he can. Also, i agree with charlie the unicorn- that was a neat component of the speech.

Omega, at the risk of sounding really mean and sarcastic (i promise that's not my intent) i do commend you...most self-proclaimed "die hard republicans", or others against Obama are definitely making NO effort. If people could suck it up and realize that he's now our president who deserves our support, our country would greatly benefit.

It doesn't matter if you are Republican or Democrat, if he turns out to be a great president then all will benefit. If he dosen't, then don't reelect him in four years.

Like omega I am too a die hard republican but I am starting to accept the fact that Obama is now the president. Hopefully he follows through with his ideas and plans and will get us out of this economic mess

This made me really glad that our school is so involved in our community. I love all of our clubs and organizations that do so much to benefit others. I'm glad we have been sending letters to soldiers, collecting so many food cans, starting new clubs to benefit even other countries, and so much more. Students are definitely doing a great job at trying to make a difference.
