WHAT A COOK!!! A technological fence...ok so how are we going to pay for this we are already billions of dollars in debt, and know you want to build a fence that will cost millions of dollars and then what are you going to do when you have to pay people to monitor this "fence". OK a card for every immigrant what is he thinking oh my gosh more money WASTED!!! Maybe this stupid man should think about his strategy just a little more!!!!!!!
If there are 400,000 illegal immigrants and then there are 398,000, obviously nothing very productive is being done. You want to waste all this money to build a fence that will probably still allow many illegal immigrants to cross is a huge waste. It is especially a big waste when you consider that nothing is being done to those that are already in our country. Illegal immigrants will see that our policy is very loose on deporting illegal immigrants, and they will now do anything they can to cross the border. If you're going to start anywhere you should deport all the aliens in our country first.
I agree that stopping this problem must be and can be done. Deportation must also then increase. The point everyone misses is that these immigrants are "illegal"!!! Our country will not change its policies until this is the emphasis. Illegal activity cannot be condoned in a civilized society. The cost of allowing it is much higher than the cost of enforcement.

It's not like this gov't is worried about spending too much. If they are going to spend billions anyway might as well spend it on securing our borders
