This female is incredibly brave to move on from such a wound like that and wearing shorts and the fake legs is amazing. I personally would have felt like Lt. Dan in Forrest Gump, let me die in the field than end up like that. She is moving on and actually thinks positively on the army and her service and the fact that she would do it again is inspiring. I have one criticism though, instead of spacing off and looking at mountains shouldn't she have been on the lookout for hazards, it's not like Afghanistan is a utopia at the moment.

I don't think women should be allowed to serve in combat areas. It changes the social make up of society because women were created to be different but equal to men. I think we would have a stronger society if we accept the fact that women should have different roles. However this women attitude is amazing. She wasn't resentful or bitter.

I would like to say that her comments have molded my views of the war. I think she is one of those many leaders that our country needs and has done a lot of service to our country. It's incredible that while she is in pain to be with her children and her family, she still would go back to her duty "in a heartbeat." I think it is people like her that make our country so outstanding.

It's great to see that she still has a positive outlook on life. She was injured doing something she loved. Women have proven that they can serve in the military. If somebody has such a strong desire to commit to something they should not be stopped because of stereotypes or prejudices. Women have been fighting for equality for a long time and there is no reason to limit what they can do now.

I think that this lady is an inspiration to us all. Still not quite sure why she wasn't paying attention to the road, even if the scenery was beautiful, c'mon you're in a hostile environment.

But I give her kudos for not being bitter or angry about what happened. I just can't believe she survived that, they said that the truck was twisted like a towel or something like that. It's pretty crazy.
