McCain Ad - 2013

Setting the bar kind of high? Do you like this commercial?

McCain is pretty bold, but not as bold as it looks. How advanced is advanced and how reformed is reformed? The only bold one I saw was stabilizing the Middle East. It's all subjective and remember when Bush kept saying things were going well in Iraq, like five years ago?

I'd like to see what the Dems do with this one. It'd be really easy to change each of those categories to something bad...
This ad radiates confidence but McCain will have to start producing results immediately if he is going to live up to these goals.

I think that this is actually a really great commercial. It's motivating, and it goes back to rewrite some of the things McCain's opponents have used against him. I'm sure we've all had a "100 years in Iraq" quoted at us, and if he says now that he'll work at ending the fight in five years, that's a lot more supportable, at least in my view.
But I agree, it's a high bar to set, and it'll be easy for Democrats to attack, and even worse if he gets elected and fails.
It might look good now, but I kinda fear the man's overshot his goals a bit.

I do think it was a bold commercial that extends the idea of immediate reform and improvement to just about every aspect of our lives.

This ad didn't strike me as a bad move on McCain's part because I think it is just as forward as the Democrats saying they will withdraw all troops within a few months. Personally, I don't believe either side of the campaigns promises.
