Wallace asks Pelosi, do you pray for victory?

I like how Wallace tries to twist the answer to get Pelosi to say something against the troops. I think she really supports the troops, but still strongly dislikes Bush as well as the war. And talk about trying to appeal to the evangelical audience of fox news.

Personally I strongly dislike Pelosi so this will be a little biased. This is where I am weary with politicians and their honesty. I think she's full of it. That's all I have to say.

She's lying through her teeth! I didn't like her the first time I saw her on television annoncing she was chosen as Speaker of the House. And I don't like her now. She doesn't care about the soldiers in Iraq, all she cares about is her public view. She's like a little tiny plastic Hillary Clinton. If she were to play her real role as Speaker of the House, she would try to work with the President, not against him.

I think pelosi is full of it... yeah she might say she prays for bush... but then again she suddenly went from talking about supporting our troops and bush, and suddenly starts talking about bush's childs healthcare plan! ok either that is super A.D.D or shes sucking up and trying to push her ideas in at the same time... which sounds to me like another hillary( also nicknamed billary)

it is natural for anyone to put their own perogatives in to an interview, so i dont disrespect pelosi for that. BUT i do disrespect pelosi for being hypocritical and talking about prayer and having God's will be done as she supports Stephen Ayers for banning the use of God's name being used in the certificate issued for the eagle scout. The Democratic party seems to be filled with hypocrisy hm clinton and pelosi.....

Blain should realize that this is a blog for an American government class. There is something called checks and balances. The speaker of the house isn't supposed to just do whatever the president wants.

There is something I find not quite right with this interview. I can't stand the way she continually insists that she is such a great person who prays so much. I don't even care if it is true or not because I am too focused trying to figure out why anyone would share such personal information with a perfect stranger and millions of viewers. Just because you are religious does not make you a great politician. What is this facade for?

I'm really sickened at the moment. I for one, and the people of America, do not need to be told how to pray. If there is a question about how to pray, I believe one should go to a minister or person of cloth, not to Pelosi.
I do admit that it seemed as though Wallace was manipulating her in hopes she'd say something bad about Bush. Her attempts to sound sincere and to appeal to the religious, however just came across as fake.

I can't believe how much she was trying to avoid the question on whether she prayed for the soldiers to win, as soon as she was asked the question, she answered it as briefly as possible. Then changed the subject to Bush signing the childrens health bill.

I'm not sure if this was supposed to be funny or not, but I just couldn't stop laughing.

When Wallace asks if she prays for the President, and what exactly it is she prays for, she has that hilariously little awkward pause and uncomfortable look on her face. It's like's she's caught in a lie, or realizes that it would be socially frowned upon she said "that he chokes on another pretzel."

So she goes "the chiiiiildren. I pray for the chiiiiildren."

I am reminded of those jokes pertaining to politicians and the way they kiss babies for mass public appeal.
Nancy is a baby-kisser in the highest degree.

First of all, she never answered the question. What does the children's health care bill have to do with anything?!

I showed this video to my dad and he told me about the current health bill she's supporting. Under the bill, the government insures health care for all families with incomes that are 400% of the poverty rate and below. The poverty rate is around $25,000. Why in the world would a family with a $100,000 income need the government to pay for their health care?!

Who voted this woman as speaker of the House?!?!

what if? is exactly right in bringing the idea of opposing views in government, but pelosi is horrible and trying to appeal to her opposition by bringing lies in to her interview. whoever is teachering her propaganda techniques is getting paid way TOO much. You cant concede to opposing viewpoints and be as vague as possible at the same time...quite pathetic

She definitaly seems like she is lying... her answers are so forced. Does she truly pray for Bush and his health or is that just omething that sounds good? And also why does she bring up the children? She seems to know how to talk around things rather well.

She could not be more full of herself in order to try and get a positive image. She says the word prayer at least 10 times in a span of a little over a minute and she is constantly blinking and trying to act sincere. These are obvious signs of lying. The bill she's trying to pass is absurd as well. Let's make the government pay for everything, so we can all live happily and not have to work hard in a socialist society! Well, there's some serious liberal thinking there.

I don't ever want to judge someone's sincerity in their relationship with God. But when Pelosi says she prays for the President all the time and has to strongly think of an answer for what she specifically prays for for the President, I don't believe she really prays for the President all the time. Her eyes were really discomforting to look at, too. She almost looked as if she was caught in a lie...hmmm?

I'm just kidding. I don't know if she was lieing or not, but it sure came across that way to me.

At first, it seems she is trying to fake caring for "the children" and our president's well-being, however I do agree with her that we shouldn't necessarily pray for our desires but for God's will to be done.

This women is what we need in this world i know that i pray for are government and our troops all the time.

If it is God's will it will be done I strongly agree!

I really dislike the fact that Blain believes she is lying through her teeth WHAT?!?!?!?!

This women id commpasionate, caring, and utterly truthful! I don't believe ANYONE would ever be able to sit there and lie about prying and about god's will!

Maybe I am a naive little christian girl but I don't itis what I believe and all of us are intitled to believe what we want but to accuse her of lying when she so passionate!!

This will probably be the only time I will EVER say this: but I agree with blain on this one. If she were to play her real role as Speaker of the House, she would try to work with the President, not against him. But then again I don't blame her; I don't care for the president. And Pelosi did come welcome to Politics.

Well I guess I pray that this is true.(all though it is a very nice act) and I pray that Pelosi continues to pray if in fact she really has been praying for the children and the troops(that was a nice move) and I (with a really big smile) pray for the best turnout even though I was told not to pray for outcomes... so now I guess I'll have to pray pray pray for... sorry this message could not be finished for the person typing had to pray!! (YEAH RIGHT PELOSI!:))
