I thought Senator Clinton gave a very good speech. This is on par with some of Obama's I felt. She did what she had to do. She acknowledged that her supporters should vote for Obama although it seemed there were times she was biting her lips.
The thing I liked the most about her speech was that she included "respecting the military" multiple times unlike Mrs. Obama. But I will not expect Barack Obama to do the same, but maybe he'll prove me wrong.
However, she completely convinced me to vote for McCain. McCain is four more years of Bush? Alright, vote McCain!
McCain was very sneaky. On Fox News, there were numerous ads of Hilary saying that Obama is not qualified for president. What is ironic is that one would expect Obama's points to increase due to the DNC, but instead, McCain took the lead.
I actually watched quite a bit of Sen. Clinton's speech and I personally thought it was a very well put together speech. She has a lot of supporters that are very loyal to her and still believe that she is the better choice for a nomination for the candidacy, which leaves the party very much divided and will not help them come the election in November. The speech last night did a very good job of smoothing out any rough spots that may have been between her and Obama. Hopefully, her supporters will listen to her and give their support to Obama instead of dwelling on the fact that she is not the nominee come November, or the outcome of the election may not be how they have been planning it. All in all I thought the speech did what she had hoped it was going to do, in that it helped reunite the party and help prepare them for the election in November.
I thought Hillary's speech at the Democratic Convention was really very good. The only thing is, before Obama was chosen for the candidacy, Hillary's ads said that he was not qualified or ready to be the president.. but now she thinks he is? It sounds like she's just sucking up & giving a bologna speech so that she has a chance in the future.
