Does Matt Damon have a view you agree with in this video? Why or why not?

A completely Anti-American psycho, Matt Damon is a raving lunatic who needs to go back to high-school and try again.

Pssst, Matt. This time, don't be an actor!! Stay in class and learn some real life skills for once!! You need them!! Truly!!

all-mart, instead of just bashing Matt Damon as an anti-american psycho, why don't back up what you say because no one is going to listen to you when you talk like that. As for me, Damon brings up some really valid points. She was put on the ticket for purely political reasons(get the Hillary vote) and she has no business in the White House when she has served a very short time and her stance on Russia scares me too. Thinking war with Russia is a real possiblity!?! If you look at our current state of affairs that is ludicrous, she is not the person I want anywhere near the presidency.

I don't get why is so critical of Palin's inexperience, when you look at Obama and he hasn't that much either. It is totally biased and he gives her no credit.

Right-on all-mart! I agree completely with you. This video just goes along with Americans wanting to agree with famous actors. "Oh! I've seen that guy on the big screen, I should agree with every one of his political views." Thats what this video wanted viewers to think. Matt Damon is just an arrogant, self-absorbed hollywood actor. I would never listen to his perspective, even if it were on making a sandwich...cause I'm pretty sure he doesn't even know how to do that.

pssst, all-mart!

Not everyone who isn't a raging McCain supporter is anti-American!
Once you finish high school, maybe you'll understand that and the fact that part of being American is being able to express your opinions, no matter how unpopular!

There were some things I disagreed with, but personally, I think Matt Damon made some good points. He doesn't see Palin as fit to be president for various reasons, and understands an important factor America should be considering right now: the likelihood that either candidate will survive his presidency. Obama has a very increased chance of being assassinated, and McCain has a very good chance of dying from old age.
Too bad he thinks ahead. How Anti-American.

While I do think he has a few valid points, I think that it was blown way out of proportion! Damon said that she was chosen merely for political reasons...HELLO! This is politics. The whole presidential race is a political game. Obama is very inexperienced, as well. I think what this race really comes down to is who is going to bring about change in the most positive way. I truly believe that McCain and Palin can do that.

Ok, Matt Damon should definitely calm down. Raving celebrities really bother me. Yes, we don't know that much about her but that doesn't mean she isn't a good candidate for the job. I personally think that Palin could bring some interesting things to the table for America. And one question.....dinosaurs??

It is clear that Governor Palin was chosen for political reasons, kinda of a duh point, much like talking about Matt Damon who I guess I need to point out isn’t even running for anything. So, I notice a lack of comments about the qualities of Senator McCain who by the way is the actual candidate for President against Senator Obama. The real question should be why aren’t the supporters of Senator McCain talking about him and his stances on the issues? Perhaps, there isn’t much to talk about there, which his supporters seem to say about Senator Obama. Let’s take a break from personal attacks and discuss some facts? I hear a lot of people have issues with Obama's positions on foreign policy matters such as Iraq or dealing with crisis situations such as Russia’s actions in Georgia. Obama not only graduated from Harvard law but majored in international affairs based on living abroad. He also serves as a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, as well as the Committee for Homeland Security and Government Affairs. When I put a little research into Governor Palin’s foreign policy stances I was surprised at the lack of substance. Those who research further will notice that lately she has decided to change her stances on certain issues, such as gay rights. In August of 06, she said it was "ok to deny benefits to same-sex couples". In August of this year, she vetoed a bill denying benefits to gays, as unconstitutional. It seems to me like she’s changing sides on issues that Clinton supporters might find important. In March 2007, she said she wants an exit plan for Iraq. I noticed posts on the “Dear Mr. Obama clip” that conveyed leaving Iraq would dishonor the soldiers who died in Iraq promoting freedom. Maybe he should change the name of that clip to Dear Mr. Obama and Governor Palin. Charlie the Unicorn pointed out that “Americans want to agree with famous actors”. While that may be true the Matt Damon on Obama clip has had almost 900,000 views and the Dear Mr. Obama clip has had close to 6,500,000. That’s a pretty big difference. Seems like Americans know what they want to hear and they can decide for themselves. If they want to agree with a big star or if they want to listen to a soldier it’s their choice, and criticizing them for it isn’t really doing anything.
And no offense to you guys on the McCain train but personal attacks on Matt only show your lack of an argument. If you'd like to present some facts on how Governor Palin is fit to lead our country, be my guest, until then I think I'll stick with Obama. Might I suggest you spend some time researching your candidate and where he stands on the issues important to you. By the way his name is John McCain, not Sarah Palin.

I completly agree with Matt Daemon. Palin is very inexpericenced and I think that its goin to hurt him big time down the road. Hopefully Obama will point out McCain's faulty decision when the debates start.
Also people seem to relate that Obama and Palin are both inexperienced. This is just not true. On the big stage, Palin has about two years of being Gov.. Obama on the other hand, has 7 years in the Illionis legislative, and 3 years in the Senate.
So lets do the math here. 10-2=8 Thats eight more years, that Obama has over Palin.
Now thats math even a republican can do!!!

I think that Damon ripping on Palin about her "inexperience" is a mute point if, in fact he is an advocate for Obama. Obama is also inexperienced, and I feel the need to point this out only because those of us who are expressing our opinions in favor of Obama are neglecting this weakness of their own candidate. I am not saying Palin is experienced, or that the republican party has no flaws by any means. But I am willing to address them rather than push them off to the side and call the other party out on their weaknesses that may in fact be quite similar to the weaknesses that they are criticizing of the republicans! I think people should consider that Presidential nominee McCain has spent more time as a prisoner of war than Presidential nominee Obama has spent in the senate. Just putting a few things in perspective for those of us who aren't as well informed as others and let the media shape their opinions for them....

Both parties have inexperienced people running in this election. The democrats have Obama running for president but also have the experienced Biden. The republicans have McCain who is experienced but have a less experienced person also, Palin. So really both are at the same level-ish. I don't know about you but I would rather have an inexperienced person as vice president rather than president.

I'm going to put out there that being a POW doesn't make you a leader, maybe character, but it's not a leadership academy. And bravo verum, Concerning "experience" the Bush admin. was supposedly experienced and look where that has gotten us. At this stage in our history we need something new. McCain is just another Bush. Damon might be just another dumb actor but sometimes they hit it on the mark once in a blue moon and I think he's a little bit more intelligent than you guys give him credit for. Come on, we're in high school. Who are we to judge him when we're 17-18 yrs old. Palin is a phony when it comes to what is best for the country. Look at her high school yearbook and you can pick out her administration, the whole trooper scandal...must I continue? I don't know how she ever got to be governor of Alaska. Oh, and the town she was mayor of(Wasilla) is the meth capital of Alaska.

I agree with scott completely. Matt Damon doesn't sound like a raving psycho, and he actually says things that make sense. I am personally terrified of the idea of Palin stepping foot into the white-house. She has had unethical behavior as governor, such as trying to ban books in the library, hiring the lobbyist for her campaign, approved the funding to build the bridge to nowhere, then she said she was against it, pressuring the security chief to fire her sister's ex-husband, etc.
Need proof? Google it.

On Damons opinions, I think he is just talking like you or I would in our own kitchens. He's just being real about his opinions, and you can't blame him for that.

Another thing Matt needs to remember.. DUHHRRR MATT YOUR ON NATIONAL TELEVISION! NOT an appropriate place to say these things.

I showed this video to my grandma, and she had a good point. Why can actors talk about politicians? They are ACTORS. NOT politicians.

Of course picking Palin was for political purposes, considering this is politics. Do you really think if McCain had picked another old, white, and rich male that he would have this good of a chance in making it to the White House against Obama? Also, not that I agree with Palin's opinions on everything, but Damon says he doesn't know anything about her. Umm, well how about doing some of your own research and finding out what she is like and what she believes in before bashing her. Another thing, her being a governor gives her EXECUTIVE experience, something that Obama has nothing of.

first of all who thinks matt damon is uneducated needs to do a backround check on him because he graduated from harvard and second he does bring up some good points on palin. She is inexperineced in politics and I'm acutally worried to have her in office.

Well, I think that Matt Damon is going to appeal to those that only follow celebrity views on things...which happens to be a lot of America. We have learned more about our government in our first few weeks of class than most of America will ever know about it. People go with what the big shots say and who knows maybe that helped Obama maybe not. But just like All-Mart, Matt Damon should probably try and get his facts straight and not attack the person before he opens his mouth because frankly if you just attack the person and not the situation, it reflects on the understanding OF that situation.

Although im a fan of his movies, im going to have to dissagre with Matt here. He acts as if Palin is someone that will have no clue on what to do and she has never learned anything about the government at all. I mean its not like shes a Paris Hilton or someone.... Im pretty sure she'd make a good vice president
