I am so mad that I didn't come an blog with you guys. Well since I missed it I'll pose the question of who won the debate?

I think McCain won this one, he kept Obama on his feat during the domestic issues portion. Obama has this uncanny ability to listen to the question, ignore the question, then come up with something semi-related but totally irrelevant.

The blog ended up being a very good debate about the debate. For the most part, everyone was civil towards each other and just discussed the candidates. You missed a good one, Patriot.

As to who won, neither impressed me all that much. In the parts I saw, McCain had more "smackdown" answers; but it was very even.

Mr. Keller - this is awesome! I'm a former high school biology and physics teacher. Love the format - you're giving your kids a very rich platform on which to interact. Very nice!

This was my first really good attempt at live blogging. Although there were a couple of snags it went really well. Next time I will make the blog window a little longer and possibly stop reader comments at times, so students really have an opportunity to reflect on issues. I am not sure as to what is the right approach here, but my students and others really loved it. Anytime I have students asking questions and being engaged it is a good thing. Students have also commented how they enjoy the fact that they don't know who all the others are due to pen names. I think this provides a safe experience for students on the web and also a safe experience for them to learn and develop their thoughts, ideas and ideology in a public forum without fear of being ridiculed. I know that is not the real world, but I think it is a step in the right direction. Thanks for all that watched the debate we will hold another live debate for the last Presidential Debate and Election Night coverage.

I thought the idea of a live blog was a great idea. I thought it kept me more in tuned to the debate itself and to what each candidate said that they would do for certain issues. It was also a lot of fun just watchin the comments and thoughts that other people had from what the candidates were saying. Now I can't wait for October 15 and our next live blogging for a debate.

Wow, now I really wish that I didn't miss the debate (while blogging of course). I was reading your live blog and found so many places that I would have commented to throw things on their heads. But then again, that's just me for you.
If you hold a live blog during the next debate I will definitely try to post.

I think everybody agrees that Obama definitely struggled at first. However, he definitely made up in the end. I think that he won the debate overall, and CNN decided so also :)

i also thoroughly enjoyed the live blog. I felt like i could be open about my opinions and could contribute something to the debate. I really liked being able to ask a question and start a whole discussion from that. I can't wait until October 15th as well as Novemeber 4th. I will most definitally be blogging and im going to invite my friends to join in on the fun as well. It's gonna be a political party!! Haha!

I am in the same vote as patriot. I wish I could've blogged, but i have no time! This is a great idea, for people over this blog to communicate instantly rather than waiting over time to see how else comments a blog.

I watched the news overviews on the debate and it kind of seemed like it was a tie. I don't really think anyone won.
