Obama hedges on driver's licenses for illegal aliens

Obama cannot seriously think that illegal immigrants come here to work!!! Hello, they come here for a better life, not to work!!! It is only necessary for them to work so they may provide for their families. Also, Obama needs to take a real stance, not side-straddle an issue- not opposing giving illegal immigrants licenses is equivalant to agreeing to do it.
Although, i like senator obama, i don't like his answer for this question. He is unclear and flip flops his answer. Giving illegal immigrants drivers licenses makes it harder to keep them out, once they get into our country.

I don't know, a roof over your head, food, money, I don't know, you tell me? And how do you get a roof over your head, food and money? A job!! So yes they come here to work!!! Obama wasn't wrong.
Anyways, I love Obama, as you might already know from previous posts, but his straddling-the-fence answer didn't cut it for me. Sorry Obama, no kudos for you this time.
You have got to be kidding me is this really an issue... shouldn't we be worried about how to make it possible to keep illegal aliens out or how to make them become citizens before we give them any rights in the U.S.?
I agree with Kayla Powell. They come here to work, Obama knows what he is talking about. Although I wish he would just say his answer, yes, I support driver's licenses for illegal immigrants. I don't believe that keeping illegal immigrants out is the problem. I think the problem is integrating them with our society in a better way. So I do agree with Obama for reforming immigration processes.
